The development design is fully functioning and the final design will remain in progress to be finished next term. I have added the files for my Final Design Presentation and Final Design Poster.

When the remaining parts arrive I will design a PCB for the small-scale prototype.

Using the accelerometer readings I am able to count and time strides in order to differentiate between walking and jogging. I will measure base values for strides/mile for both walking and running speeds.
Implementation

I have been able to receive data from the accelerometer and have base voltage ranges for both the x-axis and y-axis.
Progress
October 24, 2007
In the past couple of weeks I received the accelerometer and have begun testing. I have produced a rough draft of the design report and will finish it shortly. This week I prepared and gave a presentation of my project. The powerpoint file for my presentation has been added to the documents page.
Parts and IEF

Last week I ordered parts for testing and finished the IEF grant form. Also, contact information and my Preliminary Design Report have been added to this website.
